Only 20 minute boat trip from Stone Town, the sandbank is a perfect spot for snorkelling - the calm and shallow waters home to an enormous array of coral and tropical reef fish,such as clownfish, parrotfish, moorish idol and many others. The Original Dhow Safaris and Nakupenda Isle Safaris both offer great day trips to the sandbank, including snorkelling equipment, refreshments and a freshly cooked buffet lunch.
For do it yourself trips, boats can be arranged from outside Livingstones Restaurant - the boat will usually stay at the sandbank for 3-4 hours. Be sure to take plenty of sunscreen and water.

Morning hotel pick up to Stone Town for a boat to the sandbank. About 30 minute boat trip to this dream-place where the lunch, bottled water and soft drinks will be served while enjoying swimming and laying on the powder white sands for about 3 hours hours before ride a boat back to Stone Town where you'll be transfered and dropped off at your hotel.
